Becky is the greatest girlfriend ever. She bought me a new Imola Red M3 as her Valentine's gift to me. All I did was wine and dine her. Ok, so it's a 1:18 scale model. She's still the greatest!
For Valentine's Day, I took Becky out to III Forks restaurant. Although we didn't go with the prescribed Valentine's Day menu, our server let us order the dessert that came with it. I forget what it was called, but it was good.
John and May hosted this year's Superbowl party and they wanted to kick it off with a crawfish boil. It would have nice if the Saints made it to the Superbowl this year. These pics are in chronological order and are best viewed starting from the bottom up (instead of top to bottom). As always, Sha provides the delicious deserts. Pictured here is another one of her fine creations.
These poor guys did not realize their fate.
Dump on the pot on the table!
Throw in some corn on the cob and we are ready to peel and eat. Only one thing left to do...
After 20 or so minutes, the crawfish is ready.
I think we're ready to put in the crawfish.
Then we get the pot boiling and add the cajun seasonings.
First, we start out with a pot of vegetables that will soak up the cajun seasonings.
Henry and Marlon, the master crawfish boilers. These guys don't mess around when it comes to boiling the tantalizing crustaceans.
Three boilers can only mean one thing -- we're having a big-ass crawfish boil!
All hands were on deck to get the house ready for a crawfish boil. Here, Brooks is working hard on his vacation to fill up the coolers with beer. I don't know what the water is there for...
May wanted to partay heartay Friday night since Brooks was in town for their Superbowl party so she sent an Evite for a new bar at the Shops at Legacy called Martini Park. Meet me in the park -- get it?!?!
Brooks and John, looking... um... happy after a few drinks.
Big Al sporting is a Breitling chronograph so he is uber-cool in my book. There was a line out the door to get in to this place. We were freezing our asses off so Al tried to entice the door guys to let us in like VIPs. That did not quite work so well.
A view of the bar from the table we were at.
Henry (nursing his mojito) and Julie. Why Henry is wearing a short-sleeve in this freezing weather is beyond me.
Al and Tiffini -- aren't they a cute couple?
Julie and Lesan (after a few drinks).
Apparently, May took a pic that Brooks found humourous.
The roads in Frisco were a giant sheet of ice. This one-car accident happened a couple of miles from the house.
A view from the front. There was enough snow that the kids waiting for the school bus around the corner were having a snowball fight.
Three inches of accumulation is what we woke up to this morning. Today has got to be the snowiest day we have had so far this Winter.
