Take a picture of me, eh? Well I'll take a picture of you taking a picture of me, hah!

Zombie Survival Kit: Hi-Cap Magazines, CHECK!
Well, it's more like an apocalypse survival kit. For the record, I don't think the world is going to end on 12/21/12, but I think there will be great turmoil to come. Let's face it, given the new president-elect, financial bailout, big 3 bailout, home foreclosures, credit crunch, and stupid-crazy muslim terrorists that want to bring everybody back to the stoneage because they ain't gettin' any -- it's looking ugly right now. And it's not going to get any better by the time presidential term number 1 ends.
Speaking of the new president-elect, one of the few good things, if not only good thing, that came out of Dubya was letting the Assault Weapon Ban expire, thus making it easier and affordable to purchase fine weapons such as the AR-15 or AK-47. It also made it legal and affordable to purchase high-capacity magazines. When I purchased my HKs, whom I refer to as Dr. Evil and Mini-Me, it was during the AWB so they came with 10rd magazines. Getting a couple of hi-cap magazines was on my list of things to get and I've been lax about it. Now that a Democrat is back in office, it's just a matter of time that the AWB is reinstated.
Hmmm... AWB... upcoming apocalypse... gee... maybe I should stop thinking about buying hi-cap mags and actually buy some, huh?
DONE! These bad boys carry 15 rounds. In hindsight, maybe I should have bought a couple of 18rd or 30rd magazines.
Naw... I'll just get the next item in my apocalypse survival kit, an AR-15. I sure hope I can swing that before they're banned. AGAIN.

We're Number 1!
No, we're not really number one. But I did hit a big milestone in my career at pink -- my one year anniversary. The CTO personally came down to my humble cubicle abode to congratulate and present this paper weight to me. It comes as a bit of a surprise considering that this has never happened in the past 7 companies I worked at.

HOOTERS Audition
Dani has a very effervescent personality which opens the door to many opportunities. Barker's Beauty, Hot Import Nights model, or HOOTERS girl...

I <3 Shiny Things
This picture is nowhere near the real thing, but Lawton's M3 was just dazzling in the Komart parking lot. Of course, he used Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax to achieve such glowing results. I got Robert using it and now Lawton has joined the dark side...

The One Up'r
I buy a used M3, Rich buys a new M3. I buy a used Eisenmann sport exhaust, he buys a new Eisenmann race exhaust. I buy BBS wheels, he buys BBS wheels. I can't keep up with this guy. At least my M3 is better looking, hah!

Baby's Got New Shoes
Following Friday's activities, I finally put the Competition Package wheels on to match the Competition Package brakes.

Earl's Rib Palace
Robert and I made a cannonball run to Oklahoma City to pick up a set of Toyo T1R tires for my E46. He was dressed as a Puerto Rican guy and I was dressed as, well, an Asian guy. Robert got hungry after the pick up and decided that we're going to sample the local ribs. We ended up at Earl's Rib Palace at the recommendation of the seller. Yes, you read right, Earl's Rib Palace. I don't know how it got this messed up hillbilly name, but God damn Jimmy, these are some good ribs.

Whisky Tango Foxtrot!?
Picture this: a Blackout party at the Hunta Casa. Got DJ Manny spinning stripper rap. Got the girls in stripper heels in the background (they look like the Frisco-version of The Hills). The only thing missing a stripper pole. Instead, I get a drunk and free-spirited Henry obscuring my view.
I think I want cranky Henry back.

Multimedia message
Option B. Option B involves using up my MMS messages to publish pictures. I like it more than Shozu, but I'm not sure I like using up my MMS messages. Which takes us to option C.
Option C is every techie's fantasy. It is writing a web service to accept an Atom publish, then forwarding (publishing) to blogger using the Google Blogger Data API. Yeah, I think I like that more. Now let's see if I can get off my arse and git-r-done.

My K790a has served me well the past few years and I will certainly miss it, but it was time for an upgrade. I had been looking at the Sony-Ericsson C902i with its impressive 5.0mp camera, but the further I looked into it, the more soul searching I did.
When I first got the K790a, my only requirement was a camera worthy to play in the same field as a dedicated digital camera, even if the field was big or the game was different. I did not care about the other features, such as internet browsing (I thought that was a stupid idea to begin with); they cluttered the phone with unnecessary and potentially unstable firmware anyway.
Oh, how naive I was (and still am). How the times have change. Internet browsing and reading RSS feeds comes in pretty darn handy when bored or too lazy to whip out and power up the laptop. If anything, it is my only outlet to keep up with current news and world events while passing time (and flatulence) on the porcelain throne. With the growing army of iPhone nerds browsing YouTube videos, I was not going to be left behind.
As much as I wanted to stay in the Sony-Ericsson family, the C902i just was not cutting the cheese. I could not justify spending over twice the price of an iPhone for just a 5mp camera. I do not remember exactly how I had heard about it, but I started reading about the Nokia N95 8GB. HSPDA, 2.8" screen, 5mp camera with flash, HTML internet browser, built-in wifi, GPS/A-GPS -- I liked what I read and made my decision that this was my next phone. And so far, it has been a great upgrade.
The only major disappointment is the lack of a blogger publish interface. There is one for Flickr and Vox, but not for blogger. I should not be completely disappointed with Nokia because they let you add service providers that support Atom. Unfortunately, blogger has deprecated Atom in favor for Google's Blogger Data API.
Having said that, this picture was published using a 3rd party application called Shozu. And I am not impressed. Next!

Turning Japanese

She eats sushi, she takes alot of pictures. Hmmm... and now, this song request is dedicated to Dani, who is turning Japanese.
May with a Bow on Her Head

First, we had a bunny with a pancake on its head...
Then, we had Vince with a rabbit on his head...
Now, we have May with a bow on her head.

What is the Matrix?

During new employee orientation at Mary Kay, we were given tours of the manufacturing facility and the warehouse (ASRS). Everybody told me that the ASRS tour would be the coolest. Given all the hype about it, I was ready to be disappointed since it raised my expectations. Now that I have been to ASRS, I will agree that it is the coolest part of the tour.
The Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS - get it?) was built back in 1985. Just being there feels like something out of Star Wars or The Matrix. The storage area is about the size of a football field and 82 feet high -- The Matrix. The motorized robots move pallets of goods to and from the loading dock -- Star Wars. The lack of human intervention in combination with the hydraulic sound of the warehouse lifts and the beeping sound of the robots brings a cool, yet cold and erie environment.
This is a snapshot of the storage area... the red pole in the center of the picture moves forward/backward and up/down to place and store items on the racks.
If there were laser weapons involved, then it would feel like something out of Terminator...

Oh Snap!

It was supposed to take 4 hours, but it ended up taking 9. It involved a trip to Classic BMW and VatoZone. The result? A new water pump, thermostat, thermostat housing, radiator hoses, radiator, accessory belts, and a broken AC belt tensioner shown here. It just snapped under Robert's hands. Ahhh, it was a beautiful day for Michael's Law to occur. Not even Robert is immune to its sting.

Chocolate Indulgence

Typically, when put under pressure to decide between two or more desserts from the MK bakery, everyone comes home a winner. Unfortunately, I'm trying to lose weight so I settled on just a chocolate eclair. Pauly, on the other hand, got this butter something something cake. He saved it the entire day like hanging a pork chop over a dog.

Nothin' But a Good Time
When we party like rockstars, this is how we roll. Brett Michaels ain't got nuthin' on this tour bus.
I've Fallen and I Can't Get Up
Brooks recommended that we climb over the rail and go down the dirt path to get a better and closer view of the Golden Gate Bridge. What he failed to mention was the difficulty in returning over the rail. What I'm not sure of is if this was all a sinister plot to get Dani in the stuck position or what.
Get In Your Hole
While the girls were out shopping, the men went to the Presidio golf course for a full 18 holes. This was my first time swinging a golf club (unless you include the Nintento Wii). Interesting game to say the least. Unfortunately, I don't want another expensive past time.
