It's easy to lose track of two white dogs in a house with beige walls so Becky got them some clothes to make it easier for us. At least, that's what I think (and hope) is the reason why they are wearing camoflage.
After a year of arguing F1 racing and how Ferrari sucks and BMW rules, I finally got to meet the infamous Kent T.
We had some downtime this afternoon due to a power outage and to kill time, Jared started drawing w/ the dry erase markers. I tell ya, he was cruising and it reminded me of that dude w/ the fro on PBS that painted scenic nature pictures.
After 6 fun years, today is my last day at DATA RETURN. Monday, I get to wear monkey suits and watch my potty mouth in the land of pink Caddillacs.
Thomas and Emily like to hang out their tongues whenever they are exhausted and hot.
This is the master closet and for "her" at that. I swear, the entire master suite had to be 800sq-ft.
I'm so awestruck with the light fixtures. This was taken in the study.
The tile in one of the many full bathrooms. The detail and design is just phenomenal and it's like this everywhere in the house. At this point, my head was about to explode.
Another unique light fixture, but what is more interesting is how the stairs split in the background. If you look to the right side, you can catch a glimpse of a stairwell leading down to the wine cellar. A WINE CELLAR. It's very rare to find a basement in Texas, much less a WINE CELLAR.
With a theatre room like this, who needs to go to the movie theatre.
This is not your ordinary light fixture that you'd find a "regular" house. This room was on the other end of the house. Makes for a pretty nice guest bedroom or mother-in-law suite. This room is where I would have my Nike shoe factory so I could afford a house like this.
I was already in tears when I stepped through the front door, but this kitchen had me crying like a baby that just got his ice cream taken away. Those are real custom cabinets, not your pre-fab particle board back and wood front facade. And take a look at the detail and design of the tile backsplash, abso-freaking-lutely phenomenal.
The detail and quality in these homes is just mind-blowing. This is not your Home Depot or Lowe's light fixture.
While we were waiting for the Pulte model to open, this house caught my eye in the background so we decided to drive on over and check it out. This section of the community is gated (From the $590k's) and this particular home is being custom built by Sotherby Homes -- I could not find the floorplan on the website. It has a staggering 4-car garage (one bay on one side, two on the other, and another tucked in on the right side). I should have followed my better judgement and not walked inside.
What was supposed to be a trip to IHOP ended up being a trip looking at houses. We were on our way home after a failed attempt at IHOP and decided to swing by Waterstone and say "hey" to our saleslady that sold us our Pulte home. The model home wasn't open yet so we drove around and walked into this house. This floorplan is called the Vista II. It had a catwalk. I like catwalks. I see that Pulte has a home trade-in program...
Jayden is a chip off the old block... he eats dessert like his father.
Jayden gets his own cake to play with!
I think Jayden is going to need some help blowing those candles out.
That's alot of candles for a one year old to blow out.
Getting ready for the best part of the party, the cake!
Here is the birthday boy and mom.
We need to get Emily a cape. She really believes she can fly. Unfortunately, all of her attempts usually end up with a solid "thud" on the side of the sofa or bed. Perhaps she'd fair better after her first haircut and her vision restored.
We were on a mission to Fry's for one thing: a new laser printer. I ended up getting this instead. For $35, the Engrish on the box was too entertaining to pass up on.
Five minutes into flight, I crashed and burned. Miserably. Time to find replacement parts online. Wow, 5 minutes of fun, all for $35. That translates to $420/hr. Now, if I only made that in my day job...
