This is what a cabin microfilter that has not been changed since 11/1994 looks like. And this is after I dropped the filter on the ground a couple of times to dislodge the crap that has built up. You can still see crap built up between the pleats.
NOT SHOWN: the pound of leaves that came down like an avalanche into the passenger floor after the microfilter was removed.
